Eric Seidel wins Brandon Chamber Hob Not Straw Poll

August 11, 2016- Eric Seidel was the victor in Wednesday evening’s August 10th straw poll hosted by the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce with 56% of the vote, more than double the votes of his closest competitor.

This follows on the heels of Eric’s major straw poll win last week at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce of where more than 600 local business leaders weighed in on Eric's Clerk of Court candidacy, handing the political newcomer two resounding wins at these crucial election year events. The Hillsborough Clerk of Circuit Court is critical and oversees almost more than 700 local staff who handle county record keeping and court filings, while also serving as the comptroller for county funds. “I'm not a career politician, so these victories are humbling to me,” Eric said. “I hope these will be the first of many victories in the run-up to Election Day in November! As anyone who has followed my career as the Consumer Lawyer on TV knows, my goal is to help people, and I'm truly honored by the incredible support my candidacy and our campaign is getting.” Eric has been the mature and steady voice in the campaign for Clerk of Court, maintaining a positive campaign based on his merits and his plans to help you. As the only attorney in the race, Eric is prepared to hit the ground running as your next Clerk of Court. As the Consumer Lawyer for nearly 20 years on Ch. 13, Eric has been a problem solver and plans to make the Clerk’s Office more effective, efficient and user-friendly. "These victories show our campaign's positive message resonates with voters in Hillsborough County,” Eric said. Eric is unchallenged in the primary election, and will be on the ballot in the November 8th general election. Vote By Mail for the general election will get under way in October and early voting opens on October 24th.
