Nevertheless, their modus operandi remains in place to continue to target President Trump and those he has chosen to serve within his administration.
A little over a week ago, former CIA analyst Edward Price, became a media darling after the Washington Post (February 20th) published his op-ed announcing his resignation from the CIA and the intelligence community because he said he was unable to serve within the Trump administration in good faith because of President Trump’s policies and its so-called disregard for the U.S. Intelligence Community. This is totally, FALSE. The sole Trump administration’s concerns with the U.S. intelligence community are the deliberate and intentional criminal leaks that are and continue to imitate from the various agencies within the Intelligence Community deliberately targeted against a sitting President and his senior level officials.
As a follow-up to a previous article I wrote on America Out Loud (Obama’s Sinister Gang of Rogue Intelligence Appointees Repeatedly Broke the Law to take-out Gen Flynn) and addressed as a topic in recent interviews and as a source in recent articles, I want to make a point with regard to the so-called rogue Intelligence appointees within the CIA and the intelligence community and how this concern continues to play out since.
While a number of media outlets rushed to interview Mr. Price and presented and showcased him as an ethical, non-political professional CIA officer who rejected what he claimed was the “deceitful” and “delusional” Trump administration, a deeper look into Mr. Price’s background reveals a much more sinister motive and personally driven intentions to advance his career. First, the whole Washington Post story was both politically slanted and a perfect example of “fake news”.
While Mr. Price worked for the CIA in the past, for the past 5-years he was recruited and brought on board the Obama National Security Council (NSC) staff, because of his personal beliefs, obvious political bias, and willingness to support the Obama national security ideology and agenda. Mr. Price was brought to the NSC on a ‘detail assignment’ from the CIA, meaning the CIA continued to pay his salary, which raises an ethics question for political hires and appointees. His NSC job was serving as a spokesman and assistant to deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes to run the Obama NSC “echo chamber” that created false stories designed to intentionally mislead the news media, the Congress, and the ultimately the American people about the July 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. In fact, Mr. Price even bragged to New York Times reporter David Samuels about how he intentionally manipulated and deliberately lied to the press to promote the Iran Deal.
Mr. Price’s selective outrage over the Trump administrations polices – which are still, only 40-days into the new administration, being developed – while he was part of the Obama Iran deal echo chamber is pretty galling. Additionally, it is also hard to understand and rationalize Mr. Price’s NSC staff position with his statements he made to the Washington Post that his resignation had “nothing to do with politics,” saying that “as an intelligence professional, we are taught to tune-out politics” and be apolitical. Further, Price also apparently had no problem with the CIA’s crafting politicized talking points on the Benghazi terrorist attacks in 2014, or the Obama administration pressuring U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) intelligence analysts to slant their analysis of ISIS, aka a JV team to favor the Obama administration policy and its false narrative on radical-Islamic Jihadist terrorism.
It makes one wonder why, if Mr. Price was such a paragon of virtue and a champion of keeping politics out of intelligence, that he didn’t resign last summer and for that matter go public, and or as an intelligence professional, go to either the CIA Inspector General, or to Congress (as a whistle blower), after Senator Harry Reid called on intelligence community and its analysts to give Republican Donald Candidate Trump fake intelligence briefings — which it now turns out they in fact did.
That said, the bigger question is why the CIA, again paying Mr. Price’s CIA salary to be an Obama administration political-hack, and why both the Director of National Intelligence and the White House’s NSC Director allowed it. That still needs to be addressed. Intelligence professionals take an oath office and sign statements of their allegiance to the Constitution and to defend the Constitution. In turn, once Mr. Price assumed such an extremely partisan NSC job, he stopped being a bona fide intelligence officer. A CIA officer should never have been allowed to serve in a job like this or to participate in a scheme to mislead the American people and the U.S. Congress.
Other crucial facts left out of the Washington Post story and other subsequent stories by the mainstream media are that Mr. Price contributed $5,000 to the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party in 2016. This is a huge contribution for a government employee to a political candidate and it suggests Mr. Price was angling for a senior job in a Clinton administration. Similarly, none of the mainstream media press accounts that have been published mention his political contributions or disclosures of donations made in support of the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton.
Finally, virtually all of the mainstream media’s accounts also omitted that Mr. Price is a fellow with the Truman Project, a leftwing Washington, DC think tank that served as a mouthpiece for the Obama administration, and that he worked for several Democratic political campaigns. It is likely this would have been a professional conflict of interest by way of his government employment with the CIA and serving on the White House NSC staff, while also serving as a fellow with the Truman Project.
In the end, Mr. Price’s resignation had everything to do with politics, albeit unethical and unprofessional. It is the story of a so-called professional intelligence analyst turned liberal political hack quitting a Republican administration, intent on and for political reasons to intentional and falsely subvert and damage it. Mr. Price engineered, no doubt with the help of the Democrat operatives, a splashy resignation advertised on the opinion pages of the Washington Post as part of the Democrat Party’s effort to undermine President Trump and to secure himself a well-paid perch in a liberal think tank to continue to bash the Trump administration.
The media’s blatant misleading coverage and flaunting of Mr. Price and his resignation as one based on ethics, morality, and piety is typical of its extremely biased and politically damning coverage against President Trump and his administration. It further, excoriates the image and reputation of career intelligence professionals whose allegiance remain to the nation and the Constitution. We can only hope more of this story surfaces and reveal the unethical, unprofessional and devious on-goings within the intelligence community instigated and orchestrated efforts by the Obama administration to politicize and lie to the nation. As mentioned at the beginning of this article, Mr. Price, said that he could not “in good faith” serve in President Donald Trump‘s administration. Unfortunately, as an intelligence officer, Mr. Price did not serve in good faith within the Obama administration willfully participating in politicizing and crafting lies to help cover-up and deceive the nation Obama’s failed and less than honest national security policies. Half-truths, lies, false-narratives, and fake news have been revealed as the and continue to be the hallmark of the previous administration and part of the Democrat political party that continues to contribute zero, offers nothing, and is bent on destroying America — former CIA analyst Edward Price was a willing contributor and participant.
