The Fundraising Committee of the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee (HREC) is responsible for planning and executing activities that generate the financial support necessary to advance Republican principles, elect Republican candidates, and sustain county party operations throughout the year.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    1. Annual Fundraising Strategy:
Develop a comprehensive fundraising plan each year that outlines financial goals, event schedules, and target donor groups. The plan should align with the county REC’s mission and complement state and national party initiatives.

    2. Event Planning and Execution:
Organize and oversee major fundraising events, including the annual Lincoln/Reagan Day Dinner, golf tournaments, patriotic luncheons, and other special events. Manage logistics, secure sponsorships, coordinate volunteers, and ensure successful event outcomes.

    3. Sponsorship and Membership Campaigns: Develop and promote sponsorship packages and membership drives to encourage sustained giving. Coordinate with the Membership Committee to promote tiered giving levels and recurring contributions.

    4. Budget Coordination and Financial Oversight:
Work closely with the Treasurer and Finance Committee to ensure all fundraising efforts meet budget goals, follow financial best practices, and comply with all applicable Florida Division of Elections and Federal Election Commission regulations.

    5. Innovation and Growth: Explore new and creative fundraising opportunities—such as digital campaigns, recurring donor programs, and online auctions—to expand participation and strengthen donor engagement.
