Precinct Development Committee

    • The Precinct Development Committee is responsible for providing Precinct Committeemen and Women with the tools that they need to effectively implement voter outreach initiatives in their precinct.  Voter outreach initiatives in a precinct include, but are not limited to staying in touch with  Republican voters residing within the precinct by mail, text, email, or in person to educate them on elections, candidates, and ballot initiatives.  Precinct Committee Men and Women encourage the Republicans in their precinct to volunteer and to get out and vote.  They also host and/or participate in activities that will help get Republican candidates elected to office.  The Precinct Development Committee also works with the Communications, Election Integrity, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) committees to create meaningful print media, update voter rolls, and get new voters registered.
    Communications Committee

    The Communications Committee includes the Messaging Team, Faith Team and the Military/Veterans Team.   The Messaging Team duties include maintaining our social media accounts, publishing monthly newsletters, and developing messaging topics and creating materials to educate and inform our voters.  The Faith Team is actively involved in prayer for our Nation, for those that God placed in positions of authority, and for wisdom and guidance.  The Team develops outreach opportunities to the faith community,  is involved in events sponsored by Faith Action Ministry Alliance (FAMA) and is seeking additional ways to connect to the community.   The Faith Team participates in both voter registration training and voter registration, and is seeking opportunities to introduce the Biblical Citizen program to the faith community.  The Team recently took on the important task of monitoring issues coming before the School Board  to encourage churches and the public to get involved when our voices need to be heard.  The Military/Veterans Team is our liaison with military and veteran organizations, and represents our party at the Tampa Gun Shows providing information and voter registration services.  

    Legislative Committee

    The Legislative Affairs Committee tracks legislation status, provides input and feedback to our elected officials in Tallahassee,  and coordinates calls to action when warranted.  
    Election Integrity Committee
    Election Integrity Contact: Mike Shupe, mshupe@verizon.net
    The Election Integrity Committee monitors elections, looks for invalid voter registrations, and stays abreast of election laws.  During elections, the committee organizes and coordinates our Poll Watching program at polling places and election centers, and matches signatures on absentee ballots.  Their team analyzes election and registration data with spreadsheets, databases, and visualization tools.  The team also tracks election integrity legislation and issues advisories when calls to action are needed.   
    Get Out The Vote
    Get Out The Vote (Elections) Contact:  Jeff Frankin: Vice-chair@hillsborough.gop
    The Get Out the Vote Committee coordinates our presence at community events to conduct voter registration and disseminate party and candidate information, get Republicans to the polls, and coordinate activities with candidates.  
    Finance Committee
    Finance Committee Contact:  John Ballance:  treasurer@hillsborough.gop
    The Finance Committee, under the direction of the Treasurer,  is responsible for managing all financial matters for the Executive Committee.  The Finance Committee takes part in the planning and executing of the fund drives for the Executive Committee.  Our fund drives include our Lincoln Day and Reagan Day Dinners and our first annual Liberty Links Golf Tournament.  Volunteers can assist this committee with the compilation of books, receipts, and organization of our records.  

    Fundraising Committee

    The Fundraising Committee is responsible for planning and executing activities that generate the financial support necessary to advance Republican principles, elect Republican candidates, and sustain county party operations throughout the year.  The Committee plans and executes our fundraising events including the Lincoln and Reagan Day Dinners, golf tournaments, and other special events.  The Committee secures sponsorships, coordinates volunteers and manages logistics for our events, and explores new and creative fundraising opportunities.  The Fundraising Committee puts the Party in GOP!
